Ailing Student Uses iChat To Stay In School

Here's a great article about a young boy who, though suffering from leukemia, is able to participate in class and stay connected with his classmates thanks to iChat.

I absolutely love iChat. It's such a simple yet powerful program. I use it to have video chats with my bestfriend who moved to the US and it really makes us forget that we're thousands of miles apart.

Do you have a nice iChat story?

Mac OS X Tip: Another Way To Open Files

From the Finder window or from your desktop, drag the file icon onto the dock icon of the application you want to use to open it.

This is a quick way to open files in an application that is NOT its default handler. You can also force a file to open in any application. Simply do the same process mentioned while holding down command + option on your keyboard. However, if the application cannot handle the file you are forcing it to open, you will end up receiving an error message.
