Altec Lansing Introduces iPhone Speaker System

Altec Lansing introduced a new product, the T612 - a digital audio system for the iPhone and new iPod family of products, at the CES 2008. The product provides brilliant sound quality and features incoming call support for the iPhone:

From the Altec Lansing T612 press release:
The T612 complements key features of the iPhone, including support for incoming calls. If a call comes in while music is playing, the iPhone gives priority to the call by pausing the music. Once the call is completed, the iPhone is re-docked in the T612 and the music resumes playing at the same song and place.

I think the product would be much better though if it could actually work as a speaker phone instead of having to re-dock the iPhone every time a phone call interrupts your music listening.

The T612 will be available by Feb 2008 with a $199 price tag.

Basket of Apples [05-Jan-2008]

Happy New Year everyone! :) We're looking forward to another exciting year of new Apple products and innovations. In the meantime, here are some Apple-related stuff from the interwebz:

· A girl expecting to receive an iPod for Christmas opens the box and is surprised to find a strange note instead.

· iLuv, makers of iPod accessories launches two new iPod dock devices said to be made available this coming March 2008. One is a combo iPod dock and DVD player and the other is an audio iPod dock with stereo Bluetooth capabilities.

· LOL Video: Filmmaker David Lynch's thoughts on playing movies on a "F***ing" telephone (NSFW).

· A patent filed by Apple that looks something like an iMac but appears to be some sort of display that has a slot-loading bay where you can actually insert a MacBook. The device is speculated to be a docking station ideal for the rumored ultra-slim, ultra-light MacBook.
