You'll simply use Disk Utility, which is already installed on your Mac, to create an encrypted disk image that contains all of your sensitive files. An encrypted disk image is a type of disk image that requires a password, before its contents can be accessed. The video is less than 2 minutes long, and is pretty easy to follow.
